Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

The "copywork source" thread has me intriqued. I'd like to hear more about the benefits of copy work. I understand it helps with practicing spelling, recognizing important quotes and poems, good penmanship, faster writing with ease. Is this done instead of journaling (free-flow thoughts on paper) or in addition to or instead of? Is this done every day and are different quotes copied every day or one is quote copied for the week to be written as dictated at the end of the week?

I'd love to hear how this practice plays out in the long run!

I love copy work . We've two boys who struggled with handwriting and doing copywork each day greatly improved it .
What I value most though is when I give the children a quote or a psalm etc. it gets them thinking . I'm trying to use quotes right now and help the children reflect more on the thought inspired within that saint or holy person I slacked off this last month because of my foot infection but I hope to try and have one person sort of be the focus for the month like for Oct.I'm having ST.Therese quotes .
My ds12 really benefits from this learning the minds of our great saints plus his writing spelling really improve . again I love brainyquote.com so much
