Hi - I am wondering if anyone has used the Simply series by Shoelace books - Simply English, Simply Spelling, Simply Language Arts... This series was recommended to me by St. Thomas Aquinas Academy when I started HSing 6 yrs ago.

I bought old versions of the Simply English - I liked the copywork and the way she walks through the lessons. But it seemed comparable to Hillside's PLL and ILL. But the updated versions look better. I really am interested in Simply Spelling which is along the lines of Spelling Wisdom but it has daily exercises with the words, not just the copywork selections.

Just looking for some feedback.

I haven't used this series but I know of many moms on the Well Trained Mind board who use Simply Spelling. I have never heard anything negative about it from these women.

Interesting - I thought more people would have heard of this - and I have seen it on the Well-Trained mind board (that is where I just bought a copy for my 4th grader!) It seems to fit right in with the CM method because of the copywork.

Anyway - I guess I will let you all know how it goes!
