Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I made the decision 1 yr ago to go skirts/dresses only.(I wore shorts over my swimsuit when we went tubing in the river and I felt so uncomfortable. It was really funny as I have been a tomboy my whole life.)At any rate my question is this. We have one child,dd age 9 and we are discussing having her wear dresses/skirts as well. My dd asked why she should wear dreses and I gave her a reason but then I wondered if I should let her decide. She knows what modesty is and dresses modestly in her daily dress but I am feeling led, especially as she enters the "double digits"(as she calls it).
Have any of you done this with your dd or have any opinions on this issue?
TIA,
