Last night my daughter came to me saying that she had a lump on her throat and it hurt. This morning it's still the same size, hard, and she seems to be bothered by it more. I'm going to watch it and her for a while. But, I tend to really worry myself about things like this. I automatically think the worst (cancer) and I become cautious about opening up to a doctor. Please pray that this is nothing, that my daughter feels better, and that I will make the right choices for her care.

Certainly praying. It's our job to worry. It's a mother's special gift.
Is it possible that she has a swollen gland, or a goiter? Both are easily fixed.

If she's been recently ill, or is coming down with something it would be perfectly normal for a lymph node to be swollen and tender.
Let us know if you take her to the doctor, though! We'll be praying!

My daughter has had increasing pain and trouble swallowing so I'm taking her to her pediatrition at 3:45 today. My husband will be meeting us there...God Bless him!
Please pray that she is alright and will get proper care.

We are back. It ends up that a cut on my daughters chin is Impetigo. This has caused her lymph nodes to swell. Totally suprised me.  We need to treat her cut with neosporin and keep an eye on the swelling. If it gets bigger (there's actually one on the other side too) or changes in color, we'll need to get an ultra-sound. We are hopeful this won't happen, but we can handle it if it does.
Thanks be to God and thank you for the intersession of St. Blaise.
My daughter knew you were all praying for her and she wanted me to tell you all, "Thank you!!!"
