Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Just wanted to share one of our favorite Fall creations....Pumpkin Pie Playdough. Makes the whole house smell great !!!

5 1/2 cups flour
2 cups salt
8 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 cup oil
1 1/2 oz. pumpkin pie spice
orange food coloring (2 parts yellow, 1 part red)
4 cups water

Mix all ingredients together. Cook and stir over medium heat until all lumps disappear. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth. Store in airtight container.

Place a batch of dough in your playdough center. Add some Fall cookie cutters, small pie tins and rolling pins to the area. Invite your little ones to make Fall cookies or pumpkin pies. (Remind them that these goodies only smell good.....they are not good to eat .)

Coming back to share...

My intent was to have our 4yo playing with this dough at the table while the rest of the family played a board game. Well, everyone chose to play with the playdough! Eventually free play turned into a charades type of game. Each of us wrote the name of "thing" on a sheet of paper then we took turns choosing a paper and trying to make the thing with playdough. Hilarious!

My T. Rex was awesome .

Have fun!

Love,
