I was at Whole Foods this morning getting my flax seed oil, vitamins, stevia, and arnica (can never have enough of that ) And I thought, am I missing anything?
What do you add to your food or diet to get that extra something good for you?

extra vitamin C.. even the cheap grocery store ones will do.. I manage my hay fever type allergies with it.
and I totally agree on the arnica.. we have the pellets and I have a small bottle in my purse and one in the first aid kit and one in my cupboard and one here next to the computer I think.
oh I also keep bromelain around.. simliar things as arnica.. works differently though..
and elderberry.. oh that's wonderful stuff.. dose everyone when anyone is getting sick and they don't get as sick and get well faster.

Echinacea and zinc! I take it faithfully when I feel that throat tickle or when one of the kids is snotty, and I swear it helps!
Also my son needs zinc supplements.
Something else I get at the health food store is oat bran or wheat bran. I add it into bread, muffins, waffle batters for that little somethin' extra in nutrition. I also started using yogurt thinned with water as a sub for milk in baked goods and they actually taste better too!

acidophilus - I like the refridgerated kind you can get at Whole Foods.
Vit. E
(Horse Chestnut complex if you need any help with circulation/veins/etc...)
The kids Omega 3/6/9 (Animal Parade, I think?) because I can actual swallow them and they aren't HUGE like most of the fish oil pills are.
Bach's Rescue Remedy.
And if you are at Whole Foods anyway, the Mediterranean Feast for lunch. Yum.

What is arnica good for? I'm so behind in health food and supplements!

Arnica makes a good rub for sore muscles and injuries.
Oh yes, I forgot about Acidophilus! We use it when the boys get "stinky", KWIM?

I just realized these posts went in to my junkmail! Thank you so much for your replies. My kids and I eat a lot of yogurt, so I never thought of buying acidopholis. Maybe I will check it out.
Vitamin e is probably a good idea since I have this vein issue going on with my legs.
Elderberry & singing nettle tea.....I've never heard of them. I will check them out, too!
Swedish Bitters.....I know you love that stuff, Angie! I never remember to buy it until someone is groaning with a belly ache! Thank you for the reminder!
I'll be stopping by Whole Foods tomorrow, and now I have a lot of new and interesting stuff to look at!

Well, here's what I added!
horse chestnut
swedish bitters
bach's rescue remedy
I'm taking the horse chestnut for vein circualtion in my legs. Thank you!
The swedish bitters was pricey. I just took a teaspoon and almost fell over!!! It feels great after a while and took away that feeling I get after too many sweets (b-day celebration today). But, WOW! I wasn't expecting that. It felt like I took a shot of hard alcohol. I should have sniffed it first! Is there a specific way you take it to cut the edge off? It really did work!
I haven't used the rescue remedy, yet. I got it for my daughter.
THank you all!
Lisa...I've never heard of that. What is it used for...swelling, poison, alergies?????

I believe it's "apis".. it says for "bites, stings and swellings".. I've only used it once for my nephew and the bite was a day or two old so nothing dramatic.
Wouldn't you know.. I got it because we'd had a number of bee stings and the only stings we've had I managed to not have it with me.
