Thanks,

They are excellent (once you get past Steve Ray's goofy Indiana Jones style hat!) ... we have many of them (maybe all of them) as dh shows them in his high school theology classes too.
You might see if your library has them ... or if you have access to a seminary library .... but then they're not that expensive and they are very well done with lots of history, geography, theology and church history!

Thanks Mary. I am planning to get them through Netflix. I do think my library has some of them. I just discovered that Ignatius has some lesson plans I am excited about this resource!

I love, love, love them and have been recommending them on the boards for years! The Saint Paul one is a great resource for this Pauline Year.
For anyone reading who isn't familiar with them, The Footprints of God series from are a presentation of the history and teachings of the Catholic Church through a "visit" to the holy lands. As the website says they are "a travel documentary, a biography, a Bible study, an apologetics course and a Church history study." Very good for making historical and biblical connections with the teachings of the Catholic Church. The way he combines scripture and Church teaching with history and geography is well done.
Good for all ages (though my teens do think he is a little goofy). I personally love his style.

These are wonderful!!! Yes, the hat is goofy. What really gets to me and my husband is that he reminds us of George Costanza from Seinfield.
We have several of them and have given them as gifts. The best thing is that my kids LOVE them! They get so excited saying things like, "Oh my gosh! That's where Jesus did that? That's where Peter lived? That's where they fished?" I don't know of anything of it's kind that takes you to where it happened. And Steven Ray has such a passion and love for his conversion. It's such a gift he shares it with all of us!
I think they are pricey, but worth it. We purchase one during Advent ad Lent. Mary is my favorite, so far. The rest of the family likes Peter.

LOL! That is exactly what we thought!
We have Paul and love it, btw, despite the whole Costanza thing. I am definitely going to be adding more to our queue.

We like these as well. My older boys favorite is The Early Church Fathers.
We are acquainted with Steve Ray as he lives in our area and his son-in-law teaches my older boys. He really is a brilliant, fun and devout guy.
