We have two years left in Colorado, but it's already time to start thinking about where we will head next. DH doesn't get to choose, but he will have some input in the decision. The choices are:
Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio
Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton Ohio
Marine Corps Base Quantico in VA
Our top choice is Quantico, as that is the job dh is in school for! We've already lived in Dayton and San Antonio, so I'd like to try something new. Plus I'd love to meet all the VA 4Real ladies!!
We are praying for Quantico, but of course we are also praying that God's will be done. If you could send up a little prayer as well, that would be great!
Jennifer

Praying here too. I'm surprised you get to know so early. That's really great!

Just putting in a little plug here for Stafford if you all get Quantico. We just PCSed from there and it was a great place to live. St. William of York is the parish there. It is wonderful and filled with many great homeschooling families. Although, VA is absolutely peppered with great homeschooling families throughout.
Prayers for your family.

We have been praying for Quantico for years, but a civilian job. We will pray for you, too!

I'll be plugging in my prayers for Quantico. But ultimately praying that the transition will be an easy and blessed one.

We've been in your shoes with the military so many times. We were always praying for Wright-Patt or ANYWHERE on the east coast and never got it. We were sent to South Dakota and Washington state instead. Looking back, I know the reasons why (SD-to begin homeschooling and WA-adopting our little girls!) but at the time it was so hard.
I'll pray for your intentions. The not knowing is always the hardest part for me!

Jennifer, praying that your new assignment will be a safe and wonderful blessing to your family. (My dh was stationed at Wright-Patterson when our first baby was born 16 years ago. I mainly loved the Cincinnati Chili there .)
Love,
