I don't know what to think.. this last week, my dh and I moved us into a new house and since then, my toes and now the next toe is starting to numb. At first it was just the tip , now it is almost all of the bottom and the sides.... I do have thyroid issues. Has anyone heard of this? Is the weekend, and I will call my Endocrinologist on Monday for an appt. Just checking for peace of mind. Thanks!

I have Reynaud's Phenomenon and get numb toes and fingers often. they also are very hard to keep warm in cold weather, but stress can also bring on the numbness. I've got an auto-immune disorder (blood clotting factors primarily) and Reynaud's is actually part of that "family".
Praying for you, and welcome to your new home! I wonder if the stress of the move is affecting you in this way?

I have that on one foot. It started a few months ago. I suspect it is a neuroma ... basically a nerve irritation and related swelling from years of wearing pointy, cute high heeled shoes. The numbness doesn't bother me as much as when it is NOT numb -- every once in a while, it "wakes up" and feels like it is on fire, the burning is horrible. I keep meaning to make an appointment with my GP to get it checked out but it is so hard to drag the kids with me and get them to behave while Mommy is on the table ...
If it's only in your foot and nowhere else, I wouldn't worry about it being neurological -- but there is a similar feeling condition that can affect all extremities. If you have it in your hands, too, or both feet, I'd consider that option ...

did you change flooring with the move? especially going from mostly carpet floor to most hard floors of some type (wood, tile etc)???
If so you might try wearing some well supported/cushioned shoes/slippers and see if your feet are reacting to walking on the new surface.

My fingers and toes numb on and off. It's because of degenerated discs in my neck.

Well, I came back from the Dr with good news... The numbing isn't caused from clotting or diabetes, he said it was neurological based on where the numbing is... He used a ton of medical words, but bottom line was, it was probably caused by my shoes, and up and down stairs with heavy boxes during our move and changing floors. It said it may take a few months, but I should get the feeling back. Thanks for your prayers.

Yep! I have the same issues. You can get some foot supports to put in your shoes, but in the end finding a good shoe with a roomy toe box will take care of it. Certain shoes trigger the numbing and pain almost instantly for me. So will lots of walking or toe flexing on cement or uneven surfaces.
It's a relief once you finally find the right shoe that provides consistent relief!

I don't know what your new flooring is like, but when we went from all hardwood in our previous house to a great deal of tile in the living areas of our current one, my feet and legs really took a beating at first, with numbneses, aching, you name it. Took me a while to figure out that going barefoot on tile all the time, and never sitting down, were not so good for my lower extremities.
Glad to know your numbness is nothing serious!
