Hi there,
I haven't posted in a long time... ever since I became pregnant with my DS who is now 3 weeks old! I was nauseated and tired throughout the pregnancy and basically stuck in "survival mode" most days. But little did I anticipate how overwhelming and difficult it would get after the baby arrives. My recovery has been slow (still can't sit up well from painful hemorrhoids). Breastfeeding has been a struggle (milk supply not well established yet). DH is home to help but is exhausted everyday taking care of the older two kids, who are understandably more clingy and demanding. He's already had a fever last week. (He says he appreciates how much easier it is to be working in the office.) I feel bad that my mom, who's here to help everyday, has to do all the cooking and housework... I hope she doesn't get sick. I feel bad that I have no patience for my older kids... just yesterday I snapped and yelled at them and then went into my room and sobbed. And I feel ashamed to even be thinking this, but I can't imagine having another baby
I think the postpartum blues are getting to me, and I'm having a hard time getting out of it. I can't remember when I smiled last. I don't really have anyone supportive to talk to besides DH, and he's already overwhelmed.
Please kindly remember me and my family in your prayers. I just don't know how people do it without help and with so many more children.
Sorry if this is long and thank you for reading.

Welcome back, Lorraine, and congratulations! I'll be praying for you. While my pregnancies were tough, I did find recovery even harder!

Dear Lorraine - I am praying for you. Ditto what Jenn said - I have tough hyperemesis pregnancies - but this time especially the recovery has been tough - and my baby has just turned 1!
Lots of hugs coming your way. You are still in the throes of the first 6 weeks postpartum - take all the help you can and be patient with yourself and your healing.

Oh, many prayers and hugs. I think my most overwhelming recovery was with our third baby. I'm thinking of you and offering up my struggles for you.

Oh, many prayers for you! And congratulations on the new little one! Those first few weeks were always a long blur of tears and soreness, but there is a light at the end! I'll pray for it to hurry to you!
Blessings,

Lorraine, I'll add your healing to my daily intentions. I have been where you are now, and it does get better, really it does, try not to feel bad about yourself, none of this is your fault.
God bless
Theresa

Lorraine,
You have had some unique challenges with this one, please don't be so hard on yourself. Try to find and see in each day one blessing to thank God for, and know you are NOT alone. You are in our thoughts and prayers, as are your husband, mom, and kids. Please take one day at a time, and know it will get better in time...it's not easy, but it will in time, be so worth it!
Congratulations and many blessings on your new precious little one!!! Hang in there!!!

I am so sorry, Lorraine! It is so hard to have no one to talk to. I have been there before. Remember that Our Lord and His Mother are there for you. Trust in their aid! We are here for you too. Be kind and gentle on yourself. You are overwhelmed. Of course it is impossible to imagine having more on your plate than is currently there. It's okay. You are exhausted. But this *will* pass. Have faith that Our Lord is holding you and giving you the strength you need to get through. You and your family are in my prayers.

Congratulations on your dear little baby!! Lots and lots of prayers coming for you. Just try not to think about anything but cuddling with your newborn and sharing him with his older siblings. Let your mom make macaroni every night and all of you relax and relish this very fleeting time.
And when you are crabby, or weepy, don't feel guilty. Let yourself cry and try to pray. We all know where you are and we all know how fast this time really does fly by.
Big hugs!
