Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

And how to contain them....

I have twin 1 yr old boys. One likes to strip his diapers off. Easy enough to fix, with some duct tape..except for the fact that his brother has "taught" him how to reach in from the crotch area to pull out any interesting contents...yes....incl the technicolor "specimens" we had after they drank some diluted Berry Blue KoolAid. We cannot dress them to sleep, as we are trying to keep the power bill down, so are only turning on the a/c as rarely as possible (we've done it for a few hours a day, Sun, Mon, and Tues. of this week, but not so far today). So I cannot dress them in long pants...

Thoughts? I tried putting David (our stripper) in diapers on backwards. No dice. As for John (our "archaelogist/artist"), well, I don't know WHAT to do about that.

Do any of you have any ideas? In our old house, when we had a higher monthly income, I wouldn't have hesitated to turn on the a/c. But its just too expensive to do that here, right now.

Rachel

Can you get a portable fan off of craigslist or freecycle to cool it down in there so you can dress them?

shortalls and the all in one shorts outfits.. are cool (you don't have to put a shirt on under the shortalls even) and have some leg to them unlike onsies that might help slow 'em down

I don't know. John is pretty determined...

I'll catch him just sitting on the floor, with his hand in his diaper, as if he's just "checking"--
"Yup, parts still there! Whew, had a scare there...thought mom had wiped it off the last time she stripped me..."

David doesn't "check"--he's the artiste of the two...

I'm trying to go light on the clothes. We do turn their ceiling fan on whenever they are in there, but it really doesn't seem to be doing that great of a job.

I'll have to try and put something on them...

My friend said that there are pampers brand that like pull ups but more absorbant - Easy Ups?

Also, have you tried cloth with them? My children always kept their hands out better with cloth. If you want to try it, I could send you a prefold, cover, and snappi.
