Today was her eighteenth birthday. She sneaked out of my mother's house during the night and went to live with her boyfriend (a good distance away). I don't really know the young man. I hope that he treats her well, but I am afraid he will not.
She left notes for most of her family. They could also use prayers, as well as my mother. They all feel very hurt, and my mother feels very used, as this niece begged to come live with my mom for the summer. I believe my mother is in shock that this young lady was able to just sneak out of the house without mom knowing it. And my sister and her family are in shock that this could happen, though were many signs we all should have seen.

 Praying for her and for healing for your family. Your mother did what she thought was right at the time. Even if your niece didn't have good intentions (and she may have meant well), you never know what positive seeds were planted by your mom's love and caring.
