Our very frail, highly allergic neice has been hospitalized because of an asthmatic attack. Asthma is just another terrible aspect of her allergies. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. Olivia is so brave in the face of so many difficulties. She is such a gentle and wise child.

Thanks for the prayers.
They have not been able to wean her off the oxygen or the treatments every 3 hours. My sister is relieved to be in the hospital because of the oxygen, treatments and monitoring but she is very concerned about the infectious nature of the hospital environment itself.
Maureen and Matt could use prayers too. Now a pulminologist will be added to the immunologist, dermatologist, allergist, and pediatritian who care for Olivia.
Thank you all.

Olivia went home today with a new medicine routine and a pneumonia diagnosis.
The Colts quarterback, Peyton Manning, visited her this AM with a signed shirt. SInce they are in Indy, my sister's family cheers for the Colts so this was a real treat.
I know nothing about Peyton Manning but visiting the children's section of the hospital on a Tuesday morning seems like an incredibly kind way to spend time.
Although I am not a fan of any particular football team, I am now a fan of the Colt's quarterback.

Oh, I love Peyton Manning!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is my favorite QB in the NFL. His younger brother, Eli, is also a tremendous football player. I wanted to name one of our son's after Peyton. My dh just laughed and said a big no!
Ok...enough about Peyton.
We are praying for Olivia. I hope she is feeling much better very soon!
