i remember making baskets as a kid with strips of cloth and rope or cord of some sort.

i have a bunch of the fluffy cotton cord from the apholstry section of the craft store and some old sheets...any one know what i do now?


do i need to hem the fabric or fold the ends in?

do i weave or use a big needle?

I hope someone knows what im talking about

i need some baskets and id ratehr not have to go buy them and i remenber these being cute.

I've made fabric strip baskets as an adult. The fabric strips were about an inch wide and I crocheted them with a big plastic hook (size P?).
Here's some info on rugs (when I first started I thought baskets were easier than rugs because I had a hard time not making then ends curl up, so when I let them curl it made a basket shape).
