Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I would like to use more natural things(herbs, nutritional supplements, etc.) instead of suffering through or going to the MD. Could you recommend a book I can have as a reference?
Thanks,
Anne

This book would have to be good Today's Herbal Health for children since I own this one, Today's Herbal Health In this book she lists not only the herbs but vitamins and minerals needed for particular complaints.

Here are some more that I use:

Holistic Herbal by David Hoffman

Miracle Healing Herbs by John Heinerman

But my all time favourite can be bought from this site, Herbs are Special: How can I use Herbs in my daily life?

I like to use "An Encyclopedia of Natural Healing for Children and Infants" by Mary Bove, ND (I haven't gotten into tinctures, though).

Another good one is "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by Janes Balch and Phyllis Balch.

"HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINE AT HOME" by Maesimund Panos is very easy to use and get started with homeopathic rememdies.

This is such a fun topic!!
