My husband is having second thoughts about accepting a new job closer to home. One of the main reasons he accepted the job offer was because he knew I wanted him to be closer to home. He would be doing what he did 4 years ago and feels it would be a step back, but although the other job is further (an hour and a half away compared to 30 minutes) and less pay, he feels more comfortable with it, yet it is still challenging. He needs to let them know by tomorrow. Please pray for guidance by the Holy Spirit. This is weighing heavily on him. Thank you once again.

Thank you again.  He just declined the offer in DC and right after he did, they called him back and asked what they could do to get him on board, including offering him more money because they really want him there. Poor guy, he is so torn over this. He was joking that our Lord has a sense of humor. This is where he has wanted to be for a long time and he hates to turn them down. I don't know what else to say to him. He has to do what feels right to him, not what I would like him to do. We're off to pray more Memorares.

wow Ruth, I have been praying for all of you. how tough. I know that it has been invaluble to us for dh to always have worked within 10 miles of our home. I am aware that it is not an option for everyone, but has brought much peace to our lives,(re: TIME spent with family) that higher income could not replace.
on a positive note, how nice to feel so wanted!!

He has finally decided to be close to home He called them back before they got back to him with a higher offer and sadly declined the kind offer. He told me he didn't feel comfortable bargaining like that. Although this was where he has been wanting to work for quite a while, he opted for the shorter commute. While on the train on his way home last he realized how much he hated such a long commute, so he felt peaceful about it.
Thank you, thank you so much for putting up with me these past two weeks. All I want is for him to be happy. I'm sue St. Joseph will watch out for him.
