Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My dd is not over enthralled at doing Saxon 87 - TT seems so expensive - is it worth the money and would we be doing TT7 or Pre-Algebra for Grade 7.

Thanks for any help.

My dc have liked TT so much better than Saxon! It is very, very clear. Yes, they cost a lot, but you can re-use with your youngers; the price per child goes way down then.

If you look on their website (www.teachingtextbooks.com)
you'll find placement tests. That kind of takes the guess work out of it! (sorry, but I don't know how to make their website address into a link for you).

Peace,
Nancy

I linked it for you, Nancy. Thanks for the heads up on the placement tests.

Yes, have them take the placement tests.
That's what we did.

And there's lots of review in the first part of each level.

My son did TT Pre-Algebra slowly over 7th grade and the first half of 8th grade.

My dd tested into the Pre-Algebra too - so I will be ordering this. Did you order directly from the company?

We've ordered from the company, and from Timberdoodle. Both had fine service.
