You've gotta try this.
We follow instructions from Eric Carle's DVD and the pictures turned out great!
A word of caution...you may not be able to get your kids to do anything else for awhile. Mine woke up this morning and started making new pictures and are oblivious to the world around them .

Wow --- how fantastic! I love the art your children made so far
We have been doing author studies this year and we got the Eric Carle Picture Writer video from the library, it was vhs, though. Thought I would mention this for those who are interested. It is a very interesting and inspirational video --- a must-see, really.
Thanks for the linking to your post. We may have to revisit Eric Carle and give it a whirl, although we will probably have to use scissors for the time being.

Sure they could with a little help...and using scissors. They'd especially enjoy painting the tissue paper!

Awesome, Donna. JP is loving Eric Carle books right now. This could be a great ongoing summer project for us when we're beating the heat inside our cozy home! Give your chidren a big .
Love,

So I just have to share... we are putting on a "Very Hungry Caterpillar" puppet show for Midsummer's Day next week, and we've been busy all day working on puppets made in this format. I'll post pictures when we're done. Thanks for the tip, Donna- the kids LOVE this!
