Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I don't seem to know what to use for a "natural" antihistamine. I haven't tried Apis (homeopathic) yet for bug bites. Any other ideas?

vitamin C (if you have time.. we're not talking critical here)

your body uses up vit. C when you have an allergic reaction.. the more you react the more vit. C gets used up.. and the worse your reactions get.. you can sometimes reverse that by liberal use of vit. C.

I have been able to control hay fever with approx. 4000mg vit C a day.. I don't like going over that because I'm so often pregnant or nursing and taking my prenatals with some.. the limit for pregnancy is generally 5000mg.

cheap generic from safeway mainly.

I did just buy some of the ester-C.. it's supposed to absorb much better.. so I'm going to try it and see if I can end up using less.

But my midwife does the urine test strips and these show amounts of vit. C.

It shows me low on vit. C every single time.. even when I'm taking the extra vit. C. Which seems odd.. but I understand it that I'm not getting enough for my body to have extra to get rid of.
