Well, we had to officially called a halt to our bldg project as it was previously planned to be. Back to the drawing board... :-/
We have our land with the well already done but we can't find a lender to do 85% on a constuction loan for a modular home. The plans and land appraise well but we don't have enough saved b/c we've been paying for the land.
I'm just "deflated" about this... the wind is knocked out of me. Please pray for us to do the Lord's will about this and that God will show us what to do next...

Oh JoAnna,
I am sorry! What a disappointment. When God closes a door, He always opens a window (isn't that from the Sound of Music?). I have seen this happen with our own housing situation.
I will be praying for a beautiful, wide-open window!

Well, we've decided to proceed with a regular stick-built house. So it'll be about 7 mos. or so before we could be in a new house. Hopefully this is what we should be doing... we've prayed about it, thought about it, researched, etc. We ordered a house plan today and talked to a builder we'd interviewed previously. SO we'll see what happens!
Thanks for everyone's prayers! We've been very overwhelmed trying to figure this out.
