First:

My mother is in crisis again. My heart breaks and I do not know what I can do to help her. Lack of support from my family.........esp those who live near her (I am 4.5 hrs and LOTS of gas money away)....and her own mother makes all of it very difficult.

Second: My
Aunt Martha (link is a tribute on my blog) died on Saturday...... in the middle of the other crisis, we found this out. My heart breaks for my uncle and my two cousins. My uncle is blaming himself. They were married for 44 years........are/were still pretty young, in their sixties. And they loved each other so. It was sudden and unexpected. Please pray for my aunt's soul and those she leaves behind. My 87yo grandmother is planning to drive down.......please pray for her safety, as she lives at least 12 hours from where the funeral will be held. Also, it looks like I MAY get to travel down to the funeral, too. This would be such a blessing to me.......but, I want it to be a blessing to others, too and not too big of a burden to my family I leave behind. I also live almost 12 hours away from the funeral. Sadly, there seems to be a back up of people who have passed away in Los Angeles........and they are not able to have the funeral for 8 days, or the burial for nine days! My poor uncle.

Third: My other uncle, brother to the new widower and my mother.......has a bad case of skin cancer.

Fourth: For my grandmother, parent to all three of the aforementioned folks.

Is that enough?

These are Job times, when good people are tested mightily. Job 1:20-22...

Then Job began to tear his cloak and cut off his hair. He cast himself prostrate upon the ground, (21) and said...

"naked I came forth from my mother's womb, and naked shall I go back again. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord!"
