After waiting for several weeks, the completion on our home will occur tomorrow. It is very different over here, but actually quite pleasant since all of the work was handled by attorneys and the bank! We just have to go and pick up the keys and then move in!
Of course, it is never that easy. First we have to do a little painting. (My dd loves teddy bears, but not on the wall of what is currently a nursery.) So this weekend, we paint and move over a few items from our rental (which is a lovely home, but not for sale).
Next Thursday and Friday all of our belongs will arrive from storage. I noticed that some of you ladies were counting your book boxes ... I will have to count mine as well. Would you like to know how many I have of each subject, or should I just give the total number of boxes?
This is exciting for us all. I have a separate room for schooling (above the garage), that is finished and very lovely. I have never had my own "school room," so this thrills me to no end. Finally room for timelines, craft tables, and places to display the children's work. So any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
So, I be spending quite sometime unpacking our belongs. Any prayers for this effort would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, if only I could come help you unpack, Carole...my memories of the few days we spent in Wales on our trip to Great Britain are incredible. Alas, I must think no more about it. I'll pray instead for a safe and satisfying settling in.

I know it's work, but I know it will all be nice. Like in The Quiet Man it's nice to have your things about you.

So what happens in America? That is how we do it here too.

Congratulations, Carole! I know the unexpected little things always happen, but overall this sounds like it will be a great move! I'm excited for you to have a school room! Praying that all goes smoothly.
Peace,
Nancy

Carole -- what an adventure y'all are on! Will say special prayers for you as you move-in and hope it's all you guys want! I love Wales (well, just about anything Anglo is ok with me!) and can't wait to hear the reports from over there.
Blessings and cyber-hugs, dear!

I just returned from our "new" home (it was built in 1910). We don't have a very large yard, but along the side and the back are flowerbeds that are already planted. And in them are Virginia Bluebells. Just wanted to let you know that I have something lovely and something blue (not bluebonnets) in my back yard.
And I just realized that we are moving in on Ascension Thursday! We have a bank holiday on Monday (May 6th) which is celebrated as May Day. We have never had a May Day holiday in the states. I am excited and I feel totally blessed!
