Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone out there used this program?

VideoText Algebra

I have a friend who is interested in it for her daughter and then I thought, hey, maybe it would work for my dd, too! She is finishing up MUS Zeta...any thoughts? One thing I do like is that it is a full algebra course beginning with pre-Algebra and continuing through Algebra II.

My dh, who has a PhD in Physics, was telling me that dd should skip pre-algebra, that it is a waste of time. She is good at math but I hate the thought of skipping anything (but I am NOT good at Math). I also am afraid of the idea of abandoning Math-U-See...any thoughts from you veteran moms who have been through this???

No experience with it. We are using Teaching Textbooks and my son has really enjoyed it.

Good luck finding some information on the program.

Haven't heard of it. We use Teaching Tape Technology. Here's another bump anyway.

Lara and Maddie,

Thanks for your replies!

Lara,
I just ordered Teaching Textbooks for my grade 4 dd. She is really struggling with the MUS book (she's still in Gamma and it's not pretty!). I am hoping a curricula with a different (more traditional) approach to math will help give her a bit more self-confidence.

Maddie,
I have never heard of Teaching Tape Technology--I am passing on your link to my homeschool group--we have alot of Saxon users! Thanks!
