Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This was my first impulse buy in years. We were in our local Nature Center gift shop when this caught my eye.

Here's part of the introduction:

It was the striking pink glow of the new moon's thin curve, ... "Ah ... this is what it is all about ~ this wonder, this magic, this mystery, so simple, yet so often unnoticed." ... we're so busy in our overcrowded mids and lives that we lose touch with the natural world close at hand.

Drawn to Nature has nature drawings using various methods (but mostly ink and watercolors) throughout the book with little notes about each item. It's mostly her nature journal which gives us ideas about how to approach our own journals.

She also wrote Keeping a Nature Journal, which I'll probably also buy to compliment what I have. I just have to wait until I can bump my order up over $25.00 for free shipping! Shouldn't be too difficult.

I checked out Drawn to Nature last summer from the library and loved it. It's really good!
