Hope this is the right place to post this...

I'm looking for an everyday sunscreen to wear under my makeup now that we're spending more time outdoors--something non-greasy that stays put pretty well and doesn't make me smell like a pina colada.

Any recommendations?

In the summer instead of a moisturizer I use Alba Botanica SPF30 sunscreen. It has a very light lavender scent -- definitely not tropical.

Peace,
Nancy

That looks like a great option, Nancy--thanks so much.

I'm off to the store tonight to find something--any other suggestions?

I use Paula's Choice moisturizer but it's not that cheap.

Molly talked about California Baby in another thread and I thought there were some daily options here, too.

Well this has been a main topic of conversation between my cousin and I. Sunscreens are so difficult because of all the different chemicals! And now we have to worry about nano-particles too.

I have been doing some research and found this good resource to explain nanoparticles and which sunscreens do or don't have them.

I always use the Skin Deep website to check everything. I don't have a recommendation of anything because I'm still looking. I had mentioned Blue Lizard in a different post and now from that first link I listed, I see it has nanoparticles. I also had bought Burt's Bee's Chemical Free, used it once, but see they are on the list of nanoparticles.

So this probably wasn't too helpful...I hope other folks have some more concrete info to add!! You need a physics AND chemistry degree to evaluate this!

I use Neutrogena and have for years. I don't burn when I have it on. I have no idea about nanoparticles etc... but I can find it just about everywhere, though Target seems to be cheaper by a few $$$'s. Here in the Keys I need one I'll use everyday, that's not greasy, and not so dear that I'll skimp on using it! So far this has fit the bill.

I love Neutrogena too. I think if I remember correctly they now have a 70 SPF for the face which is non-greasy formula that is very light. I love it.

Looks like Neutrogena is a favorite here! I was out shopping before I saw that one mentioned. I actually came home with Eucerin's 30SPF face lotion for sensitive skin and am liking it a lot so far--not at all greasy, very light on the skin, blends in well, and good coverage (as far as I can tell). I think it was similar in price to the Neutrogena that I saw at Target. Anyway, we'll see how it goes with the Eucerin, and maybe I'll try the Neutrogena next time for comparison.

Thanks for the tips, ladies!
