Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My 18mo dd has very wide, fat feet and I have a hard time finding shoes that fit her. I want to get her some sandals for summer. We're borrowing some of these Keen sandals from a friend and they are fantastic: they fit her feet, she likes to wear them (she fights hard with some shoes), she doesn't trip in them, and they are waterproof. But they are expensive. Any other ideas out there along these lines? Or ideas where to get these for a good price?

Susan

We've had good luck with the squeeky shoes or see kai run shoes from www.naturalbabies.com. They also have robeez "tredz" now with the flexibility/wideness of a robeez but with a hard sole. I like those alot.

My kids have wide feet as well, and we like these Teva sandals for the summertime. Flexible, waterproof and comfy. Do you have a local shoe store for kids to help you fit her feet?

My now 3 1/2 year old couldn't wear real shoes of any kind until this past fall. He had these big square Fred Flintstone feet...
I bought Robeez for him at first, those are expensive too but I got most of his 2nd hand on ebay. Even the winter he was two all he could wear were Robeez lined booties. Nothing else would fit! Then I also found that there are some ebay stores where people sew their own Robeez-type shoes and sell them much more cheaply. I think the one I ordered from I paid $12 a pair. And now some stores like Target have knock-offs now. The girl ones are really cute too.
