I mean, she was just in diapers and barely learning to walk...all I did was turn around for a second...how did she get so big???!!!???

Please send prayers and happy thoughts...my baby girl...who isn't really a baby, but a beautiful young woman of 18...is set to go to Student Orientation/Registration at her college many states away on April 25th. Because of the timing, neither dh nor I could go with, and my mom was unable to, also. DD chose to go alone, flying there by herself, getting to campus, attending all the meetings....all by herself.

This is a HUGE deal, as this is the same child who feels funny asking a cashier for ketchup at a fast food joint.

I am happy for her, nervous for her, so proud of her!!!

a little sad for me.

Now, if we can just convince her to get her driver's license

Oh Laura -- did this with ds last May ... he headed off into the east one morning and has been home only a few days since .... a very tough but proud moment ...

my youngest is three and just now potty training...
i was looking at her yesterday thinking where did my baby go???
