Thank you all for your prayers. Like everyone, I am so happy the surgery was a success. There is still a long road ahead. I can't imagine how it must feel to wake up knowing that your new lungs are disease-free, that you will be able to breathe- just breathe!- without a struggle. I am in awe of all that God can do.

I am so amazed by the strength of this family. It looks as if their baby girl was born very prematurely-as a result of mom's lung disease? To have the lives of both your daughter and your wife hanging by a thread...

And I am amazed at the advances in medicine. A double lung transplant? Who would have ever imagined that would be possible?

Every time my clock strikes the hour I try to send up a little prayer for this family.
