OK, I am right with you ladies with the round-the-clock nursing babes. Gi is 8 mos old and almost exclusively nursing (a little table food here & there). I am also finding that I am exhausted--late nights, early mornings, and trying to accomplish a million and one things. To top that off, my sugar cravings are off the charts!! I think nutrition is playing a BIG role in my fatigue; however, I slowly have become used to this grabbing (usually something sweet) food quickly. I seem to crave sugar! I feed my kids as healthy as can be, but then I don't do as well-I am a closet junk food eater I think!! I feel so busy all day and do not take the time to drink water and eat with the kiddos (I am usually cleaning up while they are eating or feeding the baby, grabbing something for the little folkie--you name it). I have the run-of-the-mill prenatal vitamins & rarely remember to take them. So HERE are my questions:
How do you find time to feed yourself well when caring for so many small ones?
AND If you have changed your eating habits, does the desire to make all 3 meals out of M&M's ever go away???? Are there any GOOD info websites out there?

the cravings go away when you stop feeding them.. it'll take a while.. but usually if you can make it a week (maybe less) you won't feel the cravings nearly as much.
And you just have to make getting to eat your meals a priority over the clean kitchen or anything else.. when you make the meals for the kids you dish some up for yourself and take the baby and sit and nurse while you eat and drink.
I've even been able to have my 3 yr old fill my cup with water when I'm "trapped" by the baby.

Maryan showed me the way on this by having "fast food" available for a quick healthful meal: a bag of prewashed spinach, cut up cheese, chicken or salmon, hard boiled eggs, little tomatoes, yummy low-fat dressings, Triscuit thin crackers. It takes 2 minutes to make a nutritious and filling meal.
Also eating small protein plus carb foods but frequently (every 2-4 hours), helps keep me from getting over hungry which leads to those carb binges.
