My mil is donating her bone marrow stem cells to her sister who has been diagnosed with cancer. Today and tomorrow they are harvesting the stem cells from mil. She said it is a procedure similar to dialysis. Dh's aunt goes into the hospital on Wed and will be there 3-4 weeks (I think to both radiate her existing bone marrow and to replace it with mil's, but I'm not exactly sure). Then Aunt will have to live in a very controlled environment--no house plants, no raw food, boiling her drinking water etc.

Please pray for mil that the harvesting will go well and for Aunt that she will heal and recover quickly. It was very fortunate that mil was a perfect match.
