My baby is almost 6m and going through her growth spurt. Lately am SO WORNOUT I am having to talk myself through everything. I was thinking it was sleep but in talking to some friends they said they had been through this about the same time and found it was nutrition.
Any pointers? Any more ways I can possibly simplify my life? I fantasize about everyone going naked and taking protein pills instead of eating but I don't think it will happen.

My baby is now 8 months (to the day) - and I feel so tired - he is still nursing round the clock and I can hardly drag myself out of bed (and I am known for being an "Energizer Bunny" type A). I just bought some Rainbow Light prenatals to replace my current vits. The clock springing forward has not helped.

I'm also nursing an almost 8 month old, still almost exclusively.
Vitamin B complex really helps my energy levels. I'm a huge fan

Marilyn,
Tell me more about the Rainbow Light prenatals, why did you switch? I've been taking Shaklee Vitalizer plus and extra B complex (I REALLY notice a difference in my energy levels if I don't take the B's faithfully!) MB is 7 months old, only getting bm (a few bites off my plate now and again, but nothing to sustain him) and I'm pretty tired myself.

I use vitamins that are simliar to the Rainbow Lights.. and I can't say enough good about them. With my kids as close together as they are.. after my third plus a miscarriage I was dragging really badly during my next pregnancy.. so so tired that even with all the kids up I was locking us into a room in the afternoon with the tv because I simply could not keep my eyes open. We'd just moved and I had a new midwife and she highly recommended these new vitamins to me.. which seemed incredibly high dose. Then I got my hands on the book "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by Balch, which had been very highly recommended to me by a trusted source.. so anyway.. I got my hands on this book and started reading about the RDA and the amounts they recommend and it really hit what the Rainbow Lights and these vits have in amounts.. so I decided to give it a try.. in one week I went from couldn't keep my eyes open froma bout 2-4 in the afternoons.. to not even feeling the least bit sleepy. AND after #3 I started having a bit of PPD that was better if I was super good taking the vits I was back then.. on the higher dose vits I don't have a problem with PPD at all.

Pam, I know we've talked about this but good nutrition made the difference for me.
The Brewer Diet was good for me, both in pregnancy and while breastfeeding. When I didn't eatwell, I got SO tired.
I used to keep a checklist on the fridge, as a reminder to myself of what to eat....

I had been on a Nature's Plus Prenatal liquid - because it was so easy to take with hyperemesis - it was good, but I felt I needed more. I have started some extra B's
- I am always scared of supplements when nursing, as I am not sure if you can take too much

And guess what?
Turns out I had a virus after all! But I know I need all that nutrition info anyway, so thanks.
