I had a very unpleasant conversation with our DRE yesterday that brought me to angry tears (not in front of her, I held it together until I walked to the car). I was so stunned by how she spoke to me I, all I could do was stare at her with my mouth hanging open.

I need to speak to my pastor today and I want to be sure to proceed in charity and with clarity about what was said. I need to be able to get the facts to him and not let my emotions run over into it. And for what its worth this woman does love the Church very fervently. Her people skills...not so good. And she has a real chip on her shoulder about homeschoolers.

I'm so sorry you had to go through this situation with your DRE. I will pray for you for clarity when speaking with your pastor. And I'll throw in a prayer for the DRE for an improvement in her people skills.

Oh, Maria, I am praying for you. It's very frustrating when we feel wounded by someone else. My mom is a DRE and I know she sometimes finds it hard to communicate effectively. I will pray for the DRE too, that her heart softens toward homeschoolers and that she listens to the Holy Spirit for guidance when talking to parents.
