who wakes you up at night, or are pregnant and have to make bathroom trips during the night, or have a squirmy toddler wrestle next to you throughout the night, and everyone is now well so you are not having to check feverish heads and give out doses of medicine in the night, and you are basically getting a full night's sleep because the 6 yr old now knows how to creep softly into your room and burrow under the covers without dh or I knowing she's there...
God can always send you chances to remember your friends in prayer. Like...
...when the 10 yr old awakens you at 3:40 in the morning to tell you the 14 yr old lap dog (98 years in dog years---go figure) needs to go outside "like bad!, Mom".
I laid awake last night waiting for the dog to come scratching on the hallway door and I was wide awake. And I laid there and I laid there, batting my eyes, my thoughts racing over all I had read on this forum yesterday. And I read alot because we were home all day and Chelsea spent the whole day writing and publishing her own newspaper...so I let her...and Annie was knee-deep in Dr. Seuss videos...that I let her watch...and Garrett was doing his own routine between school and jogging and reading the newspaper and making phone calls to friends...so I let him...and it dawned on me to pray for all the prayer intentions here.
And so, I thought I'd let you all know that, though your nights get a little quieter and more manageable through the years, God will still find ways to grace you in opportunities to pray. And I prayed...until the dog returned, and I fell asleep.

Prayers for others are so powerful. When I became a Christian,I became a Catholic. That was four years ago, and other than celebrating the Eucharist, the biggest joy for me is the thought that others can and do pray for me. It sends me to my knees and makes me  .  And vice versa, I experience extreme happiness in praying for others too!
