Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

and it's not the potatoes! Did I curdle the milk? Is it ruined? Is there a fix?

I was trying to make corn chowder. And, it was for a group get together.

Did you use sour cream? If sour cream is added, the pot should be taken off the heat. The same applies with cheese.

Sometimes milk does separate, but if you puree it in a blender and call it "Creamy Corn Chowder", then maybe stir in a few more corn kernels for texture, it will taste delish and none will be the wiser ... just make sure the corn is well cooked before pureeing.

Ooh, good idea! I think it was the milk curdling. Luckily, it was just in tiny little miniscule pieces (like minced garlic). The soup was a hit and everyone enjoyed it.
