We just returned from the Everglades and have I got the filled memory cards to prove it!  I decided there were simply too, too many for a single post so I've declared this week Everglades Week over at the S/V Mari Hal-O-Jen!

Beautiful! I love that D40x. What lens did you use? And what settings?
I especially love the anhinga photos--reminds me of the first one I ever saw, in FL, of course!

Thanks for your kind comments, ladies!
MacBeth, I had the telephoto on (it's the Nikkor 55-200mm) for most of the photos and I was playing around with all sorts of settings, just having fun and experimenting.
Chari, you do have a TON of snow! The shots of your roof are terrific.

Fewer pictures today, the computer I'm on currently is giving me fits! But I still had fun taking these photos, the tree snails were way up in a tree and I could zoom in on them so very easily. Pretty neat way to observe without disturbing something!
