Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Ladies,
We have the flu. It's moving through our house in pairs. It's a respitory (sp?) one not a stomach bug (praise God!). We will get through it and are doing the best we can, but my question is this: How do you clean/ sanitize so you don't get the same bug twice?

What I'm doing now is spraying lysol *ick!* and doing lots of laundry- especially the sheets. I am also using plastic drinking cups so we can write our names on them...

is there anything else you would do? Any laundry tips?

I suppose we need to continue to boost the immune systems too so I will keep up the fluids, vitamins, and probiotics.

Thanks and God Bless!

elderberry.. it's a specific for the flu virus (as in actual influenza) but it's also good for fighting any virus.

GSE (grapfruit seed extract) is also a good anti-viral.. and you can also use it diluted for cleaning.

Thanks Jodie,
We have something with elderberry, which we've been taking maybe that's why it hasn't been that severe.

I haven't heard of GSE. How would you use it? Could you put it in the wash? Or is that silly?

no definately not silly.. you can use it in the wash... I don't really know anything about the brands.. but I found one brand with a lot of info on how to use it around the house.. (so I'm not recommending that brand necessarily but the website was great)

http://www.nutriteam.com/gse.htm

Lots of links to follow to read on the different things.

The "table of weights and measures" will tell you the dilution to use for various applications.
