It looks like we've got quite a bunch of job prayer requests here! Is it that time?
DH is looking at a possible assignment -- one that will require lots of travel. So he's trying to negotiate a deal where we get to go with him, for long-term periods (3 months) so = less # of trips/year -- cheaper for the company, easier on us as a family, and easy on him too healthwise, etc., but we don't know if management will go for it. (The other big plus is that the kids will get to homeschool in different places which is exciting for us.)
Taking the position could also mean promotion down the road -- he's not shooting for that as he's happy where he is right now, but it is a consideration.
We really do not like being separated by work AT ALL. At the same time I recognize that he's appreciated enough at work to be invited to apply for this.
On top of all that, college is also looming, and dd wants to attend early (as early as Feb '09), so there are a lot of side issues that need to be ironed out for this assignment to be win-win for everyone, which is what we are praying for.
Our #1 priority of course are our children who need his presence so much. We're also praying to be blessed with the grace to accept whatever it is that is His will.
Would appreciate it if you could send a prayer or two our way.

I know just how you feel, Stef.  The travel is HARD, no matter how attractive the assignment.
