Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone used this series (published in 2004, I believe): R.E.A.L. Science by Pandia Press sold here: Classical Home Education

It says that it is secular based, but Christian friendly and does not teach evolution, but not creationist either.

She has two books out (with hopes for more). One on life science and one on earth science. We are doing nature study for our science... but it's been hard to do nature walks with my little ones and naptime, so I've been looking to supplement with nature stories and science programs. My googling pulled up this program, but I've never heard of it.

Anybody use it or have any feedback??

Hello! I'm new to the boards and immediately noticed your post because I also have questions concerning R.E.A.L. Science. Unfortunately, I won't be very helpful to you since I haven't used it (yet), but will keep my eye on this topic to see if anyone has any useful advice/reviews . I am looking to use this series next year for my DS's 1st grade science (biology)and am drawn to it because (1) it has 36 weeks of life science planned out all nice and neat for me, and (2)emphasizes the use of living books within the lessons.

I hope you find the answer(s) you are looking for... I know I am having a hard time finding anyone who has used this curriculum or any informative reviews.

I have used it! Both the Life Science and Earth Science! I really liked it since it met the criteria I had. It wasn't too much reading- just one page in the text for each unit, but there were additional books you could get from the library. Each unit also had a great hands-on experiment or activity. The activity base worked really well for my boys. It was secular but I found nothing objectionable.
My boys still like to look at the Animal scrapbook and Human Body notebook they made.
I reccommend it!
Let me know if you have any more questions.
