Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello Ladies,
I've been lurking, as usual, and have a question.
What does "rotating through several books in the course of the week, and having the child narrate some of the readings"
mean?
Do you read several books a week?
Or only several parts of books, and keep going each week?

Thank you,
Gina in AL

Where is the quotation "rotating through several books in the course of the week, and having the child narrate some of the readings" from? It came up on Lissa's blog when I googled it . Is that what you were referring to?

From the context of what she was saying on there, it sounded like she was talking about the Charlotte Mason method, where you choose a couple of excellent books for each subject and work your way slowly through them.   You can see something like it at the Amblesideor   Mater Amabilis sites.   (Ambleside is Protestant and Mater Amabilis is Catholic in focus)

I hope that helps -- if not, please keep asking.
