I am home from my family visit and have a much clearer picture of what's going on in my extended family. Please pray for my disabled aunt and her dear caregiver, Charlotte. Charlotte's husband died suddenly yesterday...this is a crisis on so many levels. My aunt is very, very attached to Charlotte and her family. She's not yet stabilized on depression medication. This will be a very hard time for everyone.
Please pray, too, for my s-i-l, who really really really needs counseling and is embarrassed to go. (She is a domestic violence victim, with all the baggage that goes with that type of situation.) I went over her divorce paperwork with her (she never did file it) and I'm convinced she won't file it until her self-esteem improves. Meanwhile her husband is ruining her financially. Sigh.
Thanks for your prayers. They are truly needed. Please know that I was praying for all of you these last two weeks, even though I wasn't posting much, and I continue to hold your intentions up in prayer each day.

It was actually a great visit...I had a whole afternoon with my aunt (kids and my dad along)....we had a lovely time! I know my children will cherish the memories of this visit, and I can explain the stresses to them. This is our family's first divorce in their lifetime, so it's definitely stressful, but I was there with them and I think they trust me to tell them the truths they can handle.
I really appreciate your prayers. My sister in law cries when she thinks about all of you praying for her, thinking she doesn't deserve these prayers...but I tell her that she is a child of God and deserves all this and more. I hope, someday, to be able to come here to you all and tell you she's healed and standing tall. (And...it will be because of you...you work miracles!)
Thanks for all of your prayers. I know God listens to you, and that makes all the difference.
