The Great Backyard Bird Count starts this Friday, February 15 through February 17. I think it will be a neat way to do a little nature study, while participating in a Cornell Study. It's very easy to do, and there is lots of information on their site to help with identification. They have a great kid's page.

Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone's interested.

I printed off our birds (rare and not) for Key West, we'll see if we can do it this year. I never have before. The   regional checklist for your area is a nice feature.
