Why oh why did I always order doubles? I never sent them to anyone . Now I have boxes full of extra photos...some I give to my kids but is it sacrilege to throw them away?
What about all those pics of my brothers ex-wife, or ex-girlfriends? Or those old playgroup friends we never ever see anymore.
Please give me permission to stop holding on to them....

Hit that clutter monster where it hurts! If you aren't going to scrapbook them, chuck them .

The only reason I don't have piles of neglected doubles anymore is because I don't print any of my digital photos.
But before digital cameras, my double solution was to stick any *worthwhile* doubles in each of their "boxes" just in case they wanted them later in life.
I threw the majority out..

You could always offer them up to the kids to make their own collages with and chuck the rest....but then you wanted permission to throw them out and I don't think I am helping much

Get rid of them! Especially those that are simply bad photos that didn't turn out how you wanted them to anyway. Any that are just too cute to part with can be put in baby boxes or something for future use, or, as Donna Marie mentioned, given to the kids to make collages for themselves or gifts to Grandma, Grandpa, or whomever.
Always trying to declutter my home, but usually just barely staying afloat,
