Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

does anyone recommend this? I am thinking of it for my 5 yo. I thought it may make an interesting read aloud.
Thank you!

I like it, as far as it goes...It's fun and well written.
It's very light history, and way off on the Reformation, but you can skip/add/edit that as necessary. It might be a bit much for a 5 year old, but perfect for 6 -7 year olds.

We read it aloud and enjoyed it as well (editing as necessary). I can't remember how old my boys were. Older than 5. Maybe 7 or 8? I don't think that it would be too much for my 5 and 6 yo boys to understand now, though.
