Could I ask your prayers for my oldest daughter Cate, who has come down with the mumps? I thought that she was fully immunised, but I guess she's due for a booster... She's doing just fine, but I'd like your prayers that she doesn't experience any of the rare complications - one is infertility.
This week has been a trying one for us. Things big and small have gone other than we would have liked. I'm mourning another cycle without getting pregnant. Silly with 6 here on earth with me, I know. Perhaps He is finally calling us to adopt, which would make my heart SING!
Our bus broke down an needed an expensive repair, right when my dear husband, Brian was getting ready to put us ona debt-elimination plan. Doesn't change the plans, just s blow to the psyche.
We had a big ice and freezing rain storm yesterday and over night and our flashing on the roof finally gave out. Carrie and Sophie's room was flooded.  That's going to mean another expensive repair.
And the farm that we've been praying about for over a year went under agreement this week. It's not a "done deal" yet, but our chances are looking slimmer.
Oh, I know from past experience that this is an opportunity for us to grow in grace. I thank God that I have something to offer up for those who have far worse things do deal with. We are being made in to something more beautiful, but we have to be put through the fire and shaped with hammers, then polished to a high shine. It doesn't always feel good, but the more we yield to the process, the easier it will go. It helps to be flexible when you have friends praying for you, though. And I appreciate it more than you know.

Prayers. Your the second family I know of, recently, to get the mumps although immunized.

Prayers for you and your intentions, Nissa. Our family calles times like you describe *Job* times. They are so hard! And I agree, it helps so much to know that we are prayed for and loved right through them  .

Prayers for you. When we adopted Hannah she came to us with the mumps. Oh she was miserable. I never knew of the infertility complication.

That certainly is a lot on your plate! I remember getting the mumps-it was painful. I am praying for your daughter and your family.
