Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Anyone watch this show? I'm not a regular viewer, but I happened to catch part of the last show where she was organizing all the toys. I loved the organizers she used and wondered if anyone saw where she purchased them?

We watch very little TV, but have not missed Jon and Kate since we discovered them. My husband always feels so much better after seeing the normal chaos that is a part of their life and realizes how "organized" and "quiet" our home really is. I do use those words loosely.

I liked the organizers, too. While they seemed careful to not show any store names during that show, the layout and products there were the spitting image of IKEA. I know for sure that the shelving with the variable sized, multi-colored buckets (I think theirs had pink buckets in the girls room) is from there as we have a few of those. We stop by IKEA ever 2-3 years when we are in the NOVA/Baltimore area and stock up on those sorts of things. They are THE place to get affordable, sturdy, kid-friendly organizers of all sorts as far as we are concerned.

Hope this helps.

I'm sorry, but I can't stand this show. I tried watching it two different times, and (to me) she came across as an extremely whining person, not at all grateful for everything she has been given. I'm very surprised at the popularity the show receives.

I agree she's a little much and they are sometimes very nasty to each other. That turned me off the most. I can't imagine my husband and I talking to each other like they do sometimes.

My mom raves about this show. I finally watched it a few times and was shocked at how she spoke to her husband!   They were shopping and she just kept snapping at him like he was a child.

I do enjoy seeing big families portrayed in a positive manner, but I'm not sure I'll watch this again.

My DH watched this one night (must have been a marathon - he watched several) and came away from it a changed man! Our youngest is a bit of a handful, to say the least. After watching this, DH said "Makes ours look like an angel!" and "Just when you think you're having a bad day, watch this!"

What a blessing that family has but I can't imagine potty training all of them at once! Or all of them with head colds or a stomach bug at the same time (and in close quarters, you know they're all going to get sick togehter!).

I haven't watched the show much, but I think part of the mainstream appeal may be the strain on the marital relationship. I think it may be something to which many people can relate.

I agree with the others who mentioned how she talks to her husband. I don't care for that. They do however have Scriptures written and taped onto the kitchen cabinets. That surprised me. I am just praying that she will have revelation in how she is disrespecting and not honoring or preferring her husband.

Dh and I watched the show and he just hated it. He says that he can't stand when TLC shows focus on the stress of having children, instead of balancing that with the blessing.

I find myself liking Kate... You know she just desperately wants to give her family the very best. Perfection has a price though, it takes Mommies time to figure that out. I used to be a lot more like that.

Originally their sextuplets were septuplets. When they found out they were having seven children at once, they thought they'd ruined their twin daughter's lives. And then they lost one of their seven, and it really put into perspective for them how badly they wanted their babies.

The pressure doctors and the whole of society no doubt put on them to "selectively reduce" makes me think that they are heroic... But they aren't perfect. And yes they are Christians, but I think TLC manages to edit that out as much as possible.

Having lots of littles can really contribute to not being able to step back and evaluate at times, the demands of life, can be so, well, demanding... That it becomes difficult to see your weaknesses or where you could be doing better at managing things or being more loving to others.

When I had 4 children under 3 1/2, I was a nut!

Piping in here, cause I watch the show here and there. Dh hates it. He says we have our own children to watch, why must we watch other children on TV of all places?

Molly, I believe they have twin girls who are about 6 or 7 and the sextuplets (three girls and three boys) are 3.

My sil works at the same hospital where the sextuplets were born, so was familiar with them. Kate is almost OCD in her organizing and cleaning, and very demanding, rubbing a lot of people the wrong way. But even so, my sil and her daughter love to watch the show.

My dh hates it, for the reasons above. The husband seems henpecked and the bickering isn't nice. I can only stand parts of it.

I've never seen the show... but am curious if you figured out what organizers she liked at IKEA. I have a Christmas gift certificate... and well I'm NOT OCD when it comes to organizing... just when I'm postpartum and, as Cheryl put it, see all the clutter while I'm nursing and can't do anything about it??

So did you find them at their site?? Any links??

She separated some of the boys and girls toys. Some were put into the bedrooms, using the Troblast systems

In her basement (I think) she did a wall of shelves, that I think were Expedit system. She had baskets that filled the shelf, I think like this. This part I can't find exactly like I saw.

Oh, and I have more of nesting and organizing and cleaning than I did during pregnancy, too.

Ooo... those are food for thought while I sit here and look at all Lincoln Logs, train tracks, etc.

Thanks Jenn!

I watch the show occasionally when there is nothing else on. I wonder how often they edit out her good side and just show her OCD.

I have used both of those systems. I bought the Troblast to use like a dresser for the boys, didn't work great, the buckets were to small.

I also have something like the Expedit system but mine is 4 cubbies x 4 cubbies. I love that! At first I used it to sort laundry, but it was to big for my laundry room , now it is in my basement holding our school books by subject! It holds a lot. We probably bought it three years ago, they didn't have all the basket choices then, so I have not bought baskets for it. Where is that lightbulb icon, I could get one to store the legos .
