Mary Ellen and I have a friendly little Superbowl "wager" going on at our blogs.
Stop on by (her place or mine) and let us know who you're rooting for!

Fun Dawn! But... we're on opposite sides. True blue Giants here.

I'm with Paula... that would probably be the only game I watch though as the sound of football triggers sleepiness in me. Nothing better than a Sunday afternoon nap with the sounds of football in the background. In fact, football is the only thing on TV that I can fall asleep to.

We are dyed in the wool Packer fans, so even though the Giants beat them, we are rooting for them to beat the Patriots!

So cute and fun! And you're so much more gracious and sportsmanlike in defeat than a certain coach!

I was the lone voice at MaryM's house rooting for the Patriots (because I CAN'T stand any NY or LA teams ) -- but I do have to say (and I just finished a blog post about this) that BOTH teams played amazingly well. All the pundits claimed it would be a 42-35 type of game, but both teams held the 3-7 score until after half-time! Both teams played professionally and should BOTH be congratulated on a game well-played!

Dh and BIL are die hard Steeler fans. They aren't fans of either team, but there was much screaming and rejoicing that the NYG won. Why? Well, it all goes back to Steeler interest -- Chuck Noll's record of being 4-0 with Superbowls is still intact. His record was 4 in 6 years, Belichick was going for 4 in 7 years. Big sigh of relief from Steeler fans.
Truly it's interesting watching or talking football with dh. Know that game 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon? In this house it's probably 2-3 degrees to Steelers and Penn State.

You know, I really didn't have a preference for this game since none of our Ohio teams were in it , but I did want to see Eli Manning win a superbowl, too. And be the MVP! It's probably been hard living in big brother Peyton's shadow. I have 2 sons and even if it's not intended, it sometimes naturally happens.
It was so great to see Peyton in the box cheering on his brother, too. Great family!

OK, just checking my facts and altho the Manning boys are from New Orleans -- which in and of itself makes them wonderful, according to dh -- Peyton played for Tennessee (or as we like to call it around here, "Stinky Tennnessee") and Eli played for "Ole Miss" (which is another "swear word" around here!).
So at least the boys ARE Louisiana boys!
