Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I tried two new things today which worked out really well - so I thought I would share

The first one is Crockpot Lasagne - we love lasagne but it takes me forever to make. This one was easy and tasted ever so yummy. And it went a very long way for 1lb of ground beef.
Slow Cooker Lasagne

The second one is Cranberry Soda Bread - Thursday lunch for us is homemade vegetable soup and I usually make muffins, but tried this instead - easy and so so yummy.
No yeast with buttermilk and dried craisins. I cannot find my online link for it - but will type it up if anyone is interested. It is so healthy and easy and made 2 loaves in no time.

OK - I found it - I had it printed out for Christmas - but we are enjoying it now.
Cranberry Soda Bread

I use all wholewheat flour and maple syrup as a sub for honey.

The slow cooker Lasagna looks delicious. I'm going to try it out this week.

The Lasagna recipe looks a great deal like what my Mom makes. She adds a little sugar and 3 bay leaves. It really adds a nice depth of flavor. Just a suggestion! I'm going to try it too!
