Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Here's my question - what do you do with all those single pieces of cardboard shrink-wrapped to the backs of the books? I have a few...

We have used them to make Knights shields. They like to design their own coat of arms.

The girls paint on them and use them to let dry and display their clay & playdoh masterpieces.

I also find them cut-up all over the house for creative projects that only cardboard will do.

They make good even sized backs for Merediths accordion fold displays that was a craft of the week...and good covers for homemade main lesson books.

My dd uses them underneath her paper when she is doing her needle-punch work, punching out her map pieces.
ds uses them as targets.
I use them underneath messy projects like painting or gluing.

Thanks for these ideas. This has always been my greatest qualm with my extensive Amazon usage--the packaging can get crazy!

You and my dh! He also uses them for target practice. I have put them between layers when the kids have painted shirts, but I needed more ideas!

I recycle most of them. Every so often I save one or two to provide structure to mailing envelopes that I don't want bent.

You're all so creative. I personally can't fathom holding onto them.
