We've been waiting to bring Rachel home since we first saw her face on September 12, 2007. All our paperwork was mailed to China September 14, 2007.
Our agency just told us yesterday not to expect our next piece of paperwork from China until after Chinese New Year when all offices are closed from 2/7 - 2/12. Our guide in China said it's because people over there are just not wanting to work much right now. What!!!??? I'm waiting to bring my daughter home and can't because you don't feel like working! 
I know that she will come home to us in the exact time that God wants and that He is in control of this whole situation (Hannah's file was "misplaced" and we waited an extra 2 months for her, too). But it is absolutely agonizing to look at her pictures taped to my computer desk everyday and not be able to hold her.
Please pray for me and my family. Mostly that I can let this go and trust God's timing and power over all things. Even the China Center of Adoption Affairs.

Praying Lisa. I understand adoptions from China are especially difficult. I'll pray for it to go quickly and for God to protect your Rachel.

Lisa,
We were at your place with our twin dds adoption in Dec. 1999. The embassy in India was closed because of the "Millenium Bug" fear. In the end it turned out alright, but I share this to let you know I feel your pain! I will pray, pray, pray for you during this last bit of waiting. God bless you with His peace....

Oh Lisa, I know exactly how you feel. Every moment without your child is like torture. I wish I'd been a Catholic when we were going through our processes - there'd be a lot I could offer up! I will be praying for you. All of you :o)

My step-brother and his wife just returned home from China with their daughter last month. The process took two years of much frustration and "hurry-up and wait" moments. You are in my prayers. If you are interested they have a blog that details their trip and return home. God bless you!

We'll be praying fervently for you! Adoptions are so difficult, and there are always delays of one kind and another - so frustrating. It's a lot like stop-start labor. You wonder if the day will ever arrive.
