I have a comment on my blog that looks doubtful (with link attached, which I don't want to check) I usually have no restrictions on people leaving messages at present.

How would I go about having comments come to my email address for approval first (as many other women do it on their blogs) and how do I go about removing comments from my blog.

I've already looked at the 'comments' in the help section but I can't see anything there that helps me to do either of these things...I am with Blogspot.

From your dashboard, choose SETTINGS. Then, click on COMMENTS. Scroll down and you'll see "Enable Comment Moderation?" Choose YES, then type in the email address you want the comments mailed to. In the email you receive, there will be a link back to the dashboard so you can approve or delete the comments.

Edited to Add:

To delete comments that are already posted on your blog, be sure you're logged in to your account. View the comments from your blog, and there should be a trashcan icon under each comment. Click on that, and you'll be able to delete the comment and it will show "Comment deleted by administrator"

Anne,
I saw the comment I think you are concerned about and it looks like typical blog spam. They want you to click the link so that they get paid for it, but it's not anything rude or obscene. If you didn't want to bother with comment moderation, I would just delete that one comment and not worry about it unless you start getting a lot more.

Yea, that's what it looks like to me, also. I get blog spam a lot. I just delete it.
